Sun-hee is the female main character in "When my name was Keoko". She is a 10 years old Korean girl and is curious about everything. She wants to know everything that's going on in Japan and her home. She is not brave and is afraid of what her uncle is doing. Sun- Hee misunderstands most of the situation and cause some problems. But she tries her best to support her family.
Tae-Yul is a very brave male character who is 13years old. He is the bravest character in this historical fiction because of his efforts toward his family and Korea. He decides to join the Japanese army even though he know that it't very dangerous. Also when he heard Japanes officers saying that Koreans are cowards, he makes up his mind to do the secret mission. He decides to become Kamikaze which is a suicidal pilot. Tae-Yul is very intelligent and always thinks before he act. He cooperates with his sister, Sun-Hee well and is very generous.

Hmm... I like it.
Tae yul's the bravest character in this book.. I agree.
Sun- Hee misunderstands most of the situation and cause some problems. Some problems.. she causes many problems and because of her uncle has become "extra" of the book. I wanna see Uncle again.
Anyways I like your post, try Seo Young's post!
I agree with you 100%
I also think that sun-hee is not brave. She seems to run from all danger. She doesn’t know how to help most of the time, and asks how she can help. She is not as proud as her brother Tea-yul for being Korean. She does not stand up for what she believes in when hard times come her way. I think that she cares for her family, but it seems as though she puts her self first and her safety first.
Good <33333 Job <3333
as seeing it ican see that tae yul and sun hee are very opposite one is behave and other one not but i can still understand why she is afraid/
