Anne Frank # 4- Foreshadowing

Foreshadowing is the use of clues or hints to suggest events that will occur later in the plot. Why does Mr. Frank break down when he sees the glove?
-> By reading "His eye was caught by something lying on the floor." gave me an idea that "something lying on the floor" is going to be, or was an important thing to Mr. Frank because he "caught" the glove, not just "saw". Also, "He holds it in his hand and suddenly all of his self- control is gone." showed how he couldn't even control himself because of the glove. The glove was that important to him. When he cried, I could guess that the glove belonged to someone important and precious to Mr. Frank:Mrs. Frank, Margaret, or Anne. The author gave a foreshadowing that there is going to be a big tradegy in this drama of loosing someone important.
